As we reported, the State House passed House Bill 175 yesterday, legislation aimed to take insurers into the 21st century in the state of Alaska. Representative Kurt Olson, chair of the House Labor and Commerce committee outlined some of the benefits of such legislation..
Rep. Olson(R-Soldotna): “What this will allow is the insurers to provide the information on the internet without names or any social security numbers, or any personal information, but with a password. So if somebody is traveling, or away from their home or business, they can check what they have on their policies.”
HB 175 now moves to the State Senate for further consideration.
