Relaxing Burglar Caught Red-Handed

A Soldotna man was arrested just after 1am Saturday, after he was found relaxing in a home that wasn’t his. Kenai Police Sergeant Ben Langham…


Sgt. Langham: “The Kenai Police responded to a residence in Redoubt Subdivision, to a report of a man breaking into a home. During an investigation, officers determined Othoniel Hernandez Jr, age 26 of Soldotna was intoxicated and had broken into the home through an unlocked door. While inside the residence, Hernandez began throwing things around and demanded the homeowners leave. One of the residents was able to cal 911 and officers located Hernandez lying on a couch inside a house. He was taken into custody and charged with burglary and two counts of assault.”
