The Region III Baseball Championships, hosted by Kenai Central High School, open play on Thursday, May 24th with three days of tournament play.

Teams in the Region III Baseball Championship include: Kenai, SoHi, Homer, Houston, Colony, Palmer, Wasilla and Kodiak.

First Round Pairings: Thursday, May 24 

10:00 a.m.   Game 3: SoHi vs Houston @ KLL

10:00 a.m.   Game 4: Homer vs Wasilla @ Oilers Park

1:00 p.m.     Game 1: Colony vs Kodiak @ KLL

1:00 p.m.     Game 2: Kenai vs Palmer @ Oilers Park

4:00 p.m.     Winner Game 3 vs Winner Game 4 @ Oilers Park

7:00 p.m.     Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2 @ Oilers Park

The Kenai baseball team finished regular season play with a 7-2 conference record and 8-2 overall.  Soldotna High closed the regular season with an 8-2 conference record and 8-3 overall.

Tournament games will be played at the Kenai Little League fields and at Oilers Park.  The championship game and Saturday’s double-back state qualifier games will be at Oilers Park.
