Redistricting Board Continuing to Wait on Court Ruling

The Alaska Redistricting board is continuing to wait on a decision from the supreme court on the future of the state’s current legislative boundaries. John Torgerson, Chairman of the statewide board told us that the board is currently making some small plans in anticipation of the courts ruling…

Togerson: “When the Supreme Court issues [their ruling,] we’ll go to work right away and start drawing. We are looking at hiring some mapping specialists to have board, for the time when the board meets so we can hit the ground running.”
