REDDI Report in Soldotna Reveals Methamphetamine

On Saturday, May18th at 9:45pm, Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna received a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) report on a white PT Cruiser in the Gaswell Road area.

We spoke to Megan Peters with the Alaska State Troopers for more.

Peters: The vehicle was contacted on Jan Road where the vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the road before Troopers turned on their lights or sirens.  Alaska State Troopers contacted the driver, 40 year old Billie Jo Cubley of Seward, who was subsequently arrested for DUI and Petition to Revoke her Probation after it was learned she was on felony probation.

Peters said there were others in the vehicle that were arrested, as well as Methamphetamine found in the vehicle.

Peters: Two others in the vehicle were identified as Kenneth Beam, 40, of Kasilof, and Brandon Armburst, 28, of Seward.  A records check revealed Beam had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. Further investigation revealed Armburst was on felony probation.  A pill bottle with three dime baggies with a crystal like substance which tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine were found in the glove compartment. The search was stopped, the vehicle was seized and placed in investigative impound at the Soldotna AST impound yard. All three were arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial, held on no bail. The investigation is still underway.

Alaska State Troopers are continuing the investigation.
