Public Meeting Held to talk Soldotna Sports Center

Posted: August 2, 2013 at 6:00 am

The first public meeting was held last night to discuss the future of the Soldotna Sports Center. We spoke to Andrew Carmichael, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Soldotna, who outlined the Soldotna Sports Center Master Plan that is under development…

Carmichael: “To look at what the facility needs are, in relation to it not only being a 30-year-old building, but also what the community would like to see done with it, in terms of do we expand here, do we do this, do we do that, see what the community wants. The building was opened in 1983, and it’s been band aided a lot over the years, and now it’s time to look at a major renovation.”

8/5/13 The City of Soldotna needs to assign a Full Time Custodain to Clean & Maintain the Sports Center. The ONLY task for that Employee should be the Sports Center.

Multi-Million Dollar Investments in these Facilities & Management keeps Cutting the Number of Custodains hired to Clean & Maintain the Bldgs. Do More with Less SPW
