The Department of Transportations says crews say the Seward Highway has been completely cleared of the snow from this morning’s two avalanches. The debris from this morning’s first avalanche was cleared at 2:45 p.m., this afternoon. The first avalanche occurred at Milepost 98.7, this morning. DOT opened the highway from Anchorage to Girdwood. Then, crews finished clearing the second avalanche south of Girdwood. It was cleared at about 4:15 p.m. Then, the Seward Highway was opened from Milepost 38 to Girdwood.
