Power Restored in K-Beach Area

Power has been restored to the 517 HEA members who lost power, this morning, at 5:47 a.m. The outage was on K-Beach Road, between the Sterling Highway and Chinulna Point. HEA spokesman Joe Gallagher said it was the strong winds that caused the outage.

This is the second day HEA members have been affected by the high winds. Yesterday, outages occurred in Nikiski, Kenai, Soldotna and on K-Beach Road due to high winds. Over 450 homes were without power, almost all of them had power restored by 2 p.m.
