Potter’s Guild Working to Secure Sub-Lease, Possibly Larger Space

After a descrepancy with insurance which resulted in the Potter’s Guild being temporarily halted from firing their kilns, they continue to work to fix it.

President of the guild Laura Faeo detailed the steps they are taking in getting covered by insurance, which is the biggest stipulation before they can fire again.

Faeo: “We have six quotes, we’re trying to get a sub lease for the studio space which the Art Guild Board said they are willing to negotiate with us, it’ll probably be for at least a year, we are still looking for another building, we are still interested in finding a larger space so we are still looking fo that and trying to raise funds for that.”

We also spoke with Kenai Fine Arts Center Board Member Clayton Hillhouse who said when the Potter’s Guild receives coverage from insurance they will be allowed to use their kilns again.
