Postponed CARTS Ordinance Set For July 2

It may be up to the people to decide if CARTS should continue to receive Borough funding, if Brent Johnson’s ordinance is passed this Tuesday. Assembly Member Mako Haggerty explains…

Asm. Haggerty(S. Pen): “This is brought to us by Assemblymen [Brent] Johnson(Clam Gulch), and he essentially he just wants a advisory vote on a non-departmental funding. He said that between 2002 and 2005 it has been funded to the tune of $50,000 per year, most of the time it has been funded to the tune of $25,000 per year by the borough. He’s received a lot of input that that’s probably not something his constituents want, so this would be asking the borough to vote on that.”

The Ordinance was originally introduced on June 18, but postponed by Assembly Member Hal Smalley.
