This Friday is Police Memorial Day in Alaska. While there won’t be any official services locally, Sgt. Ben Langham with Kenai PD said representatives will be traveling to Anchorage to join the memorial.
64 Law Enforcement Officers from across the state will be remembered, including two killed in the past twelve months. Governor Parnell mentioned them by name during the closing of the last legislative session…
Gov. Parnell: “Alaskans, we’ve known far too much sorrow and death recently. I think of the Trooper Tage Toll and Mel Nading the helicopter pilot and VPSO Tom Madole.”
The ceremony in Anchorage will be held at 3 p.m. in front of the new state crime lab at 4805 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.
