Governor Sean Parnell wants to see one-million barrels of oil a day flowing through the Trans-Alaska Pipeline within ten years. Yesterday, he told the audience at a rally for oil tax reform in Anchorage that this would create thousands of jobs.

The goal was part of his overall theme to rally more support for his oil tax bill. Parnell also was very critical of senators who oppose his bill to encourage more oil production in the state.

Parnell commended the State House for its work on oil tax legislation. It’s been approved by the House Finance Committee, and will be up for a vote today.
