Panthers Basketball Closes Play At ACS Tournament

The Skyview Panthers basketball teams finished play at the 2013 ACS Invitational Basketball Tournament at Anchorage Christian School; Skyview teams unable to produce a victory in the three-day tournament.

 

Saturday Final Round Results

Skyview Girls 31 – Bethel 57

The Skyview girls closed tournament play with a 57-31 loss to the Bethel Warriors.  Samantha Reynolds lead Skyview with 10 points.  The Panther girls end play with an 0-3 tournament record.

Skyview Boys 30  – Barrow 58  

The Skyview boys dropped their third-straight, falling to Barrow 58-30.   Jacob Carlson lead the Panthers with 9 points.

 

Thursday Opening Round Results

Skyview Girls 29 – Valdez 63   

The Valdez Buccaneers overpowered Skyivew 63-29 in first-round action at ACS.  Valdez opened a 29-5 lead after one quarter.  Camila O’Toole lead the Panthers with six points, Alice Dearfield lead the Bucs with 29 points.

Skyview Boys 31 – South Anchorage 73 

The Panther boys fell 73-31 to South Anchorage in their first tournament game at ACS.  Jacob Carlson lead Skyview with six points.

 

Friday Second Round Results

Skyview Girls 20 – Glenallen  46

The Panther girls drop a 46-20 decision to Glennallen on Friday.  The Panthers trailed 22-2 at the half.  Samantha Reynolds lead the Skyview Panthers in scoring.

Skyview Boys 40 – Valdez  48

The Panther boys fell to Valdez 48-40 on Friday; the Panthers trailed 22-21 at the half.  DJ Collier lead Skyview with 12 points.  Skyview plays on Saturday at 10:30 a.m..
