Think About It…….. September 21, 2011
Our nation was founded by Christian people on biblical principals and although many Americans no longer claim to be Christians, it is estimated that over 85% of our population respect the Bible and honor its teachings.
However, many of our leaders are trying their best to lead the next generation into a secular anti-biblical culture, and are determined undercut the teachings of parents and churches all across America.
Nowhere are these disturbing actions more prevalent than in our public school system. Though many times hidden from the view of parents, who are paying for them, countless public schools are systematically denying Christian expression and destroying the faith of students. Steady and continuous doses of anti-Christian and far-left teaching are undermining the faith and authority of Christian parents.
Often at the heart of the conflict is the red-hot, worldview battle between Christian parents and many secular public school officials. Government-run schools are powerful platforms for secular indoctrination. The public school classroom is contaminating young minds with an unending torrent of anti-God, anti-Christian propaganda. Undermining parental authority. Attacking your children’s faith. Children are taught the Bible is a book of fairy tales. They’re force-fed an unbiblical diet of Darwinian evolution, pre-marital sex, abortion, socialism, and more.
From a public school health textbook: “You may come to the conclusion that growing up means rejecting the values of your parents” or a public school teacher manual created by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network and Planned Parenthood: “[You] should have the freedom to explore [your] sexual orientation and find your unique expression of lesbian, bisexual, [homosexual[, straight or any combination of these.”
In many states, outside of Alaska, governments are interfering with rights of families to home school their children. Teachers are forced to promote immorality such as displaying classroom posters celebrating homosexual behavior. Many public schools will not allow religious expression of any kind.
Who’s bringing the pressure? The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) who bullies school officials with threats of lawsuits if they allow Christian expression. The National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest teacher’s union either opposes, or attempts to undermine, parental school choice, voluntary school prayer, abstinence education, home schooling and more. Planned Parenthood: They undermine parental authority by telling children to explore their “emerging and natural sexual desires”. They file lawsuits to stop parents from knowledge or consent before their children use birth control pills or seek an abortion. The Homosexual Legal Agenda: In the few states that recognize same sex “marriage,” activists demand that school children be forced to learn about homosexual behavior.
The battle for our children’s minds rages on in the public school classroom without most parents even being aware the battle is going on. It is unfortunate that many families, after paying taxes that fund our public school system, cannot afford any alternative. However, for discriminating parents, the choice of home school or a private Christian school is the obvious answer.

Wow, this is a very powerful, and bold, statement from a business that is so present in the community. I applaud that, and I am happy to see a radio station advocating private education and homeschooling.
The virtues of our culture have been lost and they are lost through a re-education process, and it isn’t hard to figure out where that occurred. Thank you for taking a stand for our children, and the future of our nation.
Right on! More people need to speak up about this!
Sat. 9/24/11John Davis, You may be the owner of this Radio Station & have earned the “bully pulpit” to speak your mine but You have stepped over the line when You state that Our Public Schools are EVIL. That is a LIE

This statement is full of false statements and unsubstantiated claims. Check the latest census for facts on religion in America.
And by the way, our nation was founded by people from a variety of religious backgrounds (including anti-clerical Christians such as Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson). Separation of Church and State is clearly outlined in the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
The claim that children are “force-fed an unbiblical diet of … pre-marital sex, abortion…” – what exactly does this mean??
Parents should teach values and religion to their children, schools should teach objective facts as well as tolerance for all types of people.
I found your article to be so refreshing and encouraging! Thank you for speaking
up in this age of ever increasing persecution in this nation for people of Christian
faith. It takes great courage to speak the truth, and I thank you!!
Alright dude, you DO realize Alaska didn’t hear about Christianity until the Alaska natives were forced into Russian Orthodox right? Alaska was predominantly an democratic state until the oil chuggers from Texas came up here and tilted the social scene to the religious right. Congress fought like hell to keep Alaska out of congress because it was a democratic state. If it weren’t for the oil that brought the religious south up here we’d still be a democratic state.
It is true that people who were Christian founded our nation (for the most part) and many of their core beliefs are incorporated into both the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, yet after that, you have gone far away from the truth and frankly basic Christian Principals. The Pilgrims, amongst others were refugees, escaping from religious persecution. Our ancestors, not because of their, faith, but because of their own experience with religious persecution drafted both a Declaration of Independence and a Constitution that accentuates and underscores our primary Core Freedom: Freedom of Choice.
Think about the phrase “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness” where in that statement do you see any reference to a specific religion. On the other hand, our ancestors went to great lengths to ensure full and complete separation between Church and State. Every citizen in this country has the right to make their own choices with regard religion and as such the public school system which is intended to service all school age children and is not the appropriate place to advocate one faith over another or no faith.
Every citizen has the same right Sir that you have; rather it is what religion to practice, choice of politics, sexual preference and so forth: These are personal decisions, and Christ himself through the gospels emphasized the personal nature of religion. Jesus refused to pick up arms, he refused the cry from many, including his own disciples to rant and rage against the established government and or Church. This is typified by his comment “give until Rome what is Rome’s”.
I do not disagree with your own fundamental values as expressed: you just simply do not understand Freedom and the concept of Freedom of Choice. We have no state religion sir, Thank God. The key to us all living together is sharing core principals true but not at the expense of individual freedom. Religious scholars will tell you that the four major religions of the world have about 85% in common with each other; we all have more common ground than uncommon. Take Care.
Keep posting stuff like this and abusing the public airways and it will make it easier to bring back the equal time clause! And now that your wearing your religion on your sleve, you’ve opened the door for some unbiased competetion.
Steve Wright: What a riot…Yes I went to Kenai High myself. What a joke. The problem is that teachers such as yourself have been invading the classrooms just as the story states. I have read your comments in the clarion, and I wouldn’t allow you to train my dog. The writer is spot on correct and if we as Americans and Christians don’t stand up say enough of satan in the classroom, we will wind up something between dust and wind.
You, Steve Wright, has successfully proved the point of the letter of what the problem is in our public schools..teachers like you.
Have a nice day and keep on rockin in the free world!
Rainbow Warrior: Once again…your front name pretty much screams out your sexual orientation..which in turn explains your grumble about the letter.
That finally boils down to another reason that solidifies the foundation of the letter.
Thank you for your input as you have best explained the authors message, without even knowing it.
Have a precious day and keep on rockin in the free world!
Hey rocking the retarded world, it’s funny how you attack small comments with your small hollow argument. There’s only one argument here (patrick) worth debating with and you’re ducking it, why?
Dude of the Kenai:
For starters, what in the world are you talking about? You accuse me of “ducking”? I didn’t duck a thing, in fact (if you can read) you will notice my comments are in favor of the author based on the responses of the unwitting.
And it seems your chime has further proved my case and the case of the Author!
Thank you for your support….DUDE!
Keep on rocking in the free world!

It’s obvious to me that You do not know What You are Talking About.
ie: I have never worked at KCHS & I am not a Teacher. So how do You know me so well ?
Why don’t you have the courage to publish your name when you attack people ?
