Ostrander Leads Way On Seward Trails: Frank Dieckgraeff Invite Results

The 2013 Frank Dieckgraeff Invitational Cross Country Meet in Seward crowned the usual suspects as individual champions with Kenai’s Allie Ostrander and Kodiak’s Levi Thomet winning the varsity girls and boys high school events.


Ostrander completed the 5-kilometer Seward course in 17:44 for the girls title.  SoHi’s Olivia Hutchings finished 4th; Dani McCormick  of SoHi finished 9th.  The Homer girls raced to the team title.

Thomet lead the boys with a 15:57, followed by Kenai’s Jonah Theisen in second at 16:41 and Jordan Theisen, third at 16:48.

The Kenai boys captured the team title.


Next up on the running schedule: The Kenai Peninsula Cross Country Running Championship on the Tsalteshi Trails, hosted by KCHS.  Races begin at 3:00 p.m.
