One Injured in Ninilchik Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident

Saturday afternoon just after 2:15pm, the Alaska State Troopers and the Bureau of Highway Patrol responded to the report of a vehicle that had collided with a pedestrian near mile 135 of the Sterling Highway in Ninilchik.

Trooper investigation revealed that a 1991 Blue Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling northbound on the Sterling Highway and struck a male pedestrian who was walking on the shoulder of the northbound lane of travel.

The unidentified pedestrian received injuries as a result of the collision and was transported by EMS to Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna for treatment.

Troopers say that investigation in this case is continuing.
