Oilers Win Opener Against Alaska Adult All-Stars

The summer baseball season for Alaska Baseball League teams opened under sunny skies on Sunday.


The Peninsula Oilers downed the Alaska Adult All-Stars 8-0 in the Oilers season opener at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

The Oilers pitching staff combined for 12 strikeouts and allowed only one hit; starter Logan McAnallen pitched four, hitless innings and struck out seven.  The Oilers collected eight hits, scoring three runs on three hits in the first inning.


The Oilers return to action on Tuesday night hosting the San Fransisco Seals in the first game of a four-game series.
