Oilers Split Doubleheader With Panners: Win Game Two In Extra Innings-Again

The Peninsula Oilers and the Alaska Goldpanners split a doubleheader on Wednesday night at Coral Seymour Memorial Park in Kenai.

The Goldpanners hold on for a 2-1 victory in game one; the Oilers steal an extra-inning 2-1 victory in game two.  The Oilers in the second game score in the ninth inning of a scheduled seven inning game on a walk-off single by Mike Wieland to score Dillon Dobson from second base.


The Oilers and Goldpanners close their series on Thursday night with the Oilers attempting to stay in the hunt for the 2013 ABL title.


Thursday is Arby’s Night at the Ballpark        Free Admission for the 6:00 p.m. game

“Pack the House Night” at Coral Seymour Park


On Friday and Saturday the Oilers play in the Showcase Games at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage; the Oilers play at 4:00 p.m. each day with coverage on ESPN 1140AM and radiokenai.com

Sunday, July 21 is the ABL All-Star Game and Home Run Derby at Mulcahy Park.
