The Peninsula Oilers closed-out their first road trip with a split against the Mat-Su Miners in a doubleheader on Sunday in Palmer.
Mat-Su 4 – Oilers 1
The Oilers scored a lone run in the first inning; however, failed to score again, as the Miners take game one 4-1.
Oilers 10 – Mat-Su 1
Tied 1-1 after three innings in game two of the doubleheader, the Oilers used a four hit, four walk, three error (by Miners), six run fifth inning to run away from the Miners.

The Oilers have an off-day on Monday, June 30th before opening a five-game home stand on July 1st at Coral Seymour Memorial Park. The Oilers host the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks on Tuesday. Game time set for 7:00 p.m.
