Oilers Shut Out For First League Loss: Doubleheader Scheduled For Wednesday

The Peninsula Oilers managed only four hits and failed to score a run for the first time in the 2014 baseball season on Wednesday, falling 8-0 to the Anchorage Bucs in Alaska Baseball League action.

The Bucs collected 13 hits while holding the Oilers scoreless; the Oilers only reached third base safely once in the game.

The Oilers stand at 1-1 in the ABL American Division; the Bucs are 5-2 in ABL play.


Wednesday is scheduled for a doubleheader at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage.  Two scheduled seven inning games between the Bucs and Oilers.  Game one is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start time.
