The Alaska Baseball League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby were comtested Sunday, July 21st at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage.
Oilers infielder Jake Alvarez was named All-Star Game MVP. Alvarez scored both runs for the South team in a 2-2 tie game; including a solo home run in the game’s first inning.
The Peninsula Oilers were represented by ten players on the South team , which was composed of players from the Oilers, the Anchorage Bucs, and the Anchorage Glacier Pilots.

The Oilers return to ABL play on Monday with a game against the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks at 6erh:00 p.m. The Oilers then close their road trip in Anchorage on Tuesday with a doubleheader against the Bucs beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Mulcahy Park.
The final homestand of the sedason begins on Thursday, July 25th with the Oilers hosting the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Coral Seymour Memorial Park. Game time set for 6:00 p.m. Senior Night with free admission for Seniors.
Friday is Carl’s Jr. Night with free admission; pack the house night!
Saturday is the final game of the season–Peak’s Fan Appreciation Night with hot dogs, chips and coke for all Oiler fans.
