Oilers Open Series Against Waves With 2-0 Shutout

The final series of the exhibition portion of the Peninsula Oilers baseball season opened Wednesday, June 18 at Coral Seymour Memorial Park with the Oceanside Waves coming to town for a four-game series.

The Oilers defeated the Waves 2-0 with two, first inning runs.  Oilers pitchers combine for a  six-hit shutout.

The Oilers are 6-1-2 in their current home stand.

Alaska Baseball League play (league games) begins for the Oilers on Monday, June 23 with the Oilers traveling to the Anchorage Bucs, the start of a week on the road for the Oilers.
