Oilers Fall 9-6 To Bucs; Bucs Take Series 3 Games To 2

The opening series for the Peninsula Oilers in Alaska Baseball League, a five-game series against the Anchorage Bucs, proved once again how difficult it is to win a road series in the Alaska Baseball League.  The Bucs win the series three games to two with a game-five 9-6 victory over the Oilers on Thursday night at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage

The Peninsula Oilers jumped-out to a 3-0 lead with three runs in the first inning; however did not score again until the eighth  Meanwhile, the Bucs scored two runs in the second, four in the fourth, one in the sixth and two runs in the eighth.  The Oilers did add a run in the eighth and two runs in the ninth.

 

The Oilers open a two-game series against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots on Friday; a 7:00 p.m. game at Mulcahy Park.
