Oilers Ground Pilots 9-1 Monday To Finish Suspended Game

Following a three-game series in Fairbanks, the Peninsula Oilers stopped in Anchorage on Monday and stopped the Anchorage Glacier Pilots 9-1 to finish a game which was suspended back on Tuesday, June 25.

The game was originally suspended due to damage to the turf surface on the pitcher’s mound.  After nearly 1 1/2 hours attempting to repair the mound, the game was rescheduled for July 1st.


The Oilers open a four-day home stand on Tuesday, July 2nd at Oilers Park, hosting the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks.  Game time are 7:00 p.m. are the entire series.
