Oilers Drop Doubleheader To Bucs: Final Home Series Begins Thursday

The Peninsula Oilers dropped a pair of games to the Anchorage Bucs on Tuesday at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage; the Oilers falling 3-0 and 6-5 in extra innings in double header action in the Alaska Baseball League.

 

Oilers 0 – Bucs 3

The Anchorage Bucs scored three runs in the first inning on a three-run homerun and that proved to be the only scoring as the Bucs take game one of the double header 3-0.

Oilers 5 – Bucs 6  8 innings

The Oilers rallied to tied the Bucs in the seventh inning 4-4 and took a 5-4 lead in the top of the eighth inning; only to surrender two runs in the bottom of the inning for a 6-5 Anchorage Bucs victory.  the Bucs opened with two runs in the first and two runs in the second inning for a 4-0 lead.  The Oilers answered with single runs in the third, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth.

 

Oilers vs Pilots: Final Home Series Opens Thursday, July 25th

The final homestand of the sedason begins on Thursday, July 25th with the Oilers hosting the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.  Game time set for 6:00 p.m.  Senior Night with free admission for Seniors.

Friday is Carl’s Jr. Night with free admission; pack the house night!

Saturday is the final game of the season–Peak’s Fan Appreciation Night with hot dogs, chips and coke for all Oiler fans.

All games are 6:00 p.m. start times.
