Oilers and Twins Battle Opponents And Rain

The Peninsula Oilers split a doubleheader against the Anchorage Bucs at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage in a steady downpour of rain on Wednesday night.  The American Legion Post 20 Twins sweep a pair of games from Fairbanks on Wednesday.

Oilers Split With Bucs

The Peninsula Oilers dropped game one on Wednesday 12-1 to the Bucs allowing 12 runs on 14 hits.  Game two featured a complete game on the mound for Oilers pitcher Tyler Gibson in an 8-2 victory.  The series is tied 2-2 with the fifth game set for Thursday, June 26th at Mulcahy Park at 7:00 p.m.

Twins Record Pair Of Wins

The Post 20 Twins recorded a pair of wins over Fairbanks Post 30 at Bartlett High on Wednesday, defeating Fairbanks 17-6 and 5-1 in rain-shortened games.
