North Star Hockey Produces Positive Results In Valley For Stars & Kards

The Soldotna Stars recorded a pair of victories and the Kenai Kardinals claimed a victory on Saturday; as the Stars and Kards played a three-game series in the Mat-Su Valley.

Soldotna Hockey Results

The Soldotna Stars, behind the hot goaltending of Cody Harvey, won two of three games over a three day period in Wasilla and Palmer.  Harvey and the Stars shutout the Palmer Moose 5-0 on Friday, December 7th and shutout Colony 2-0 on Saturday, December 8th.  SoHi fell in the series first game 3-2 to Wasilla.  In goal for the Stars, Harvey did not allow a goal for over seven-straight periods of hockey.

Kardinal Hockey Results

The Kenai Kardinals struggled against the Colony Knights, falling to Colony 11-0 to open Kenai’s three-day road trip.  Kenai played better Friday in a 5-1 loss to Wasilla; then recorded their first North Star Conference victory on Saturday with a 4-3 overtime victory over Palmer.
