New York City Mayor Opposing Begich’s Re-Election

Posted: June 13, 2013 at 6:37 am

Senator Mark Begich has drawn opposition to his re-election bid, from New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The former republican, not independent, recently sent a letter to democratic donors urging them to withhold campaign funds from senators who oppose gun control.

Bloomberg is blaming Begich and four other democrats for the defeat in April of a bill to expand background checks for gun purchases.

As a part of his group, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” Bloomberg has also purchased ads against senators to persuade them to change their stance.

Begich has dismissed the attack, Calling Bloomberg “the guy who wants to ban big gulps.”

Begich said that Bloomberg’s opposition might actually help him in his efforts to retain his senate seat.

Bloomberg is the pot calling the kettle black; he has some of the strictest anti-gun laws yet wins for most gun related crimes in his little city. He is surrounded by a small army of body guards with state of the art weaponry while denying citizens any right to protection. Mark on the other hand only supported the 2nd amendment so strongly because to do otherwise was a guarantee of voter rejection in Alaska. Bafoonberg uses blackmail and his considerable wealth to attempt to get his way. Wah
