After a day of counting absentee ballots, Senator Lisa Murkowski realized she would not catch up with Joe Miller, and conceded the U.S. Senate primary to Miller, last night. A total of 11,960 votes were added to the totals, yesterday, with the counting process. The totals showed Miller with a lead of 1,630 votes, just under the amount he led by after the August 24th primary. Murkowski, in her concession, said that she didn’t see a scenario where the primary would turn in her favor. Murkowski never led in the race.
