Three Arrested in Multi-Agency Heroin Bust

Wednesday, April 3rd, just before 8:50am, the Alaska Bureau of Investigation/ South Central Areawide Narcotics was contacted by United States Postal Inspector Kim Dallas in reference to a suspicious package addressed to David Pratt at 197 West Corral Street in Soldotna.

Dallas served a search warrant on the package and 79.8 grams of suspected heroin were seized.

At roughly 3:00pm the following afternoon, the United States Postal Inspection Service, Kenai Police Department, Soldotna Police Department and the Alaska State Troopers Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a controlled delivery of the package.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Michael K. Leveque on charges of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances in the Second Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Driving with a Revoked License.

Also contacted during the course of this investigation was 61-year-old Mark Grieger and 36-year-old Vincent W. Greer


Mr. Grieger failed to disclose that he was in possession of a .22 caliber revolver when he was contacted by a peace officer.  The loaded handgun was discovered in his pants pocket. Grieger was also found to be in possession of 17.1 grams of heroin and .5 of a gram of methamphetamine. He was arrested for MICS in the Second and Fourth Degree and Misconduct Involving Weapons in Second and Fifth Degree.

Vincent Greer was placed under arrest for on an outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to comply with alcohol screening on original charge of Petition to Revoke Probation.


All three subjects were remanded at Wildwood Correctional Center in Kenai.
