Molloy: Kenai Bluffs Project By 2016

Kenai Mayor Pat Porter is facing reelection this October 1, and so far she has one challenger: Bob Molloy. Molloy, a current Kenai City Council member, said he’s been considering the city’s priorities…

Molloy: “There’s some infrastructure items that we just need to get done. The number one being that we need to get the bluff stabilization project actually constructed, and we need to do that in the next term of the mayor.”

Mayor Porter yesterday told the Kenai Chamber of Commerce luncheon that U.S. Senator Mark Begich has pledged his help in the project. Sen. Begich believes he can help move the decision documents forward, which have been awaiting signature for two years. He said there’s a ‘pot of money’ which is rarely used and may suit this project.
