Miller Energy Continues to See Success with Cook Inlet Assets

5/26/2010

Miller Petroleum, which is the parent company for Cook Inlet Energy, L.L.C., said it has completed the rework of the West McArthur River Unit 1A well; and, it is now in full production. Miller said this marks the third straight successful well recompletion on three attempts for Miller and Cook Inlet Energy, L.L.C. with the West McArthur assets this year. Earlier in 2010, Miller announced the successful recompletion of two other wells.

Miller Energy and Cook Inlet Energy say their next focus for the Cook Inlet will be the West McArthur River Unit 7A well, where a workover rig has already started work.  The company said this rework is intended to establish oil production from the currently producing Hemlock formation and natural gas production in the Tyonek gas sand formation.

Miller Petroleum and Cook Inlet Energy, in 2009, obtained the assets of Pacific Energy Resources through bankruptcy court.
