The state capital budget has been the subject of mostly contentious debate in Juneau as the legislature has moved into the 12^thday of the special session. Most topics around the budget are unfavorable, but Soldotna Mayor Peter Micciche has some good news in regards to the capital budget..

Many members of the Soldotna city council have mentioned the need to be aware of the Birch Street area as the temperature continues to rise and Soldotna Creek Parks reopens for the summer.
