Micciche Held Local Town Hall Meetings This Weekend

This weekend, Senator Peter Micciche, held a series of town hall meetings. The freshman senator met with locals constituents in Homer on Friday and Saturday in Soldotna…

Sen. Micciche(R-Soldotna): “Well it’s imperative, we left nine weeks ago, and as you know,  got right into the thick of things, got a lot of committee assignments, and a lot going on this year. And when part of the rest of the legislature went to Energy Council, well the legislature shuts down. So I thought it was important to come home and spend some time with my direct supervisors  the voters of District O.”

Micciche commented on the  importance of such meetings

Sen. Micciche(R-Soldotna): “I think it’s imperative, how folks feel at home dramatically affects how I feel about issues, and the time that I put into issues. As I explained earlier,  sometimes when I think I’m going a certain way and get a lot of constituent emails, it really causes me to pause, reevaluate my position, and see if there’s something I can do to improve the bill to make sure that District O is well represented.”
