Time is running out for Alaskans who have or need a Medicare prescription plan.  December 31^st is the final day to sign-up.

However, those needing assistance going through the process need to contact the Alaska Medicare Information Office by December 30^th.  Jeanne Larson is the Deputy Director for the Alaska Information Office.

She also urges people to make certain callers are prepared prior to the call.

Larson also encourages callers needing help to have a list of their medications by name and dosage on hand for the process, too.  Larson said this helps determine the lowest cost for callers.
