Many Honor Vets in Kenai

Hundreds took time out of their long weekend to pay tribute to the true meaning behind Memorial Day. Yesterday afternoon, the AMVets put on the annual Memorial Day celebration at Leif Hanson Memorial Park in Kenai. This year’s keynote speaker was Coast Guard Petty Officer Second Class Mark Worral of the Marine Safety Detachment in Kenai

The celebration also included the presentation of the Honor and Remember Flag to the family of a local veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice and laying of wreaths by members of various organizations.
