Current Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell  declared his candidacy for U.S. Senate Wednesday, May 28 and will appear on Soundoff Thursday June 5.

Earlier this year Treadwell spoke about the issues he wishes to address if he makes it to the U.S. Senate.

Treadwell: “I want to work with our delegation on important bills like opening ANWR, working with other western states to try to bring decision making home, and I’ve said that all along I’m running to bring decision making home to Alaska and there are a number of other western states that are having giant problems with public land and I’d like to see some legislation there, I will say this on the big national issues, there will probably be a debt limit vote sometime, it won’t be the first vote, but there will probably be a debt limit vote sometime in 2015 and I don’t believe we should keep extending America’s debt unless we also have a vote on a constitutional balanced budget amendment.”

Treadwell will appear on Soundoff at 10am Thursday morning.
