Linda Murphy In The Run for Borough Assembly

Posted: August 14, 2013 at 6:58 pm

The current President of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Linda Murphy will run for the Soldotna seat in the October municipal elections.

Murphy is the second candidate in the race, with Soldotna City Council member Dale Bagley also contending for the seat. We asked Murphy about her motivation for serving a second term…

Assy. President Murphy(Soldotna): “I think that I have represented the interests of my constituents in District 4 as well as what I think is the best interest of the Borough as a whole over the first term. I have no desire to serve beyond a second term, but I do think that I still have a lot to offer to the Borough and this is the way that I feel that I can best do my part to make the Borough a better place.”

The filing period for the elections closes tomorrow 4:30pm.
