The Kenai Peninsula Fisherman’s Association and other commercial fishermen will meet this afternoon at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture building on K-Beach Rd.
KPFA’s Paul Shadura II told us they’ll be setting some of their priorities for the upcoming year…
Shadura: “KPFA is, we’re all getting ready for this hopefully a good season. We have expectations we’ll be able to harvest more fish than we did last year, that’s for sure. We’re having our annual meeting on the 28th of this month at Cook Inlet Aquaculture we’ll be discussing with the members of KPFA and other set netters that will be in attendance, but for the most part I think we’re just trying to repair what happened last year and look opportunistically.”
The meeting will start at 1pm, with special guest speakers including ADF&G Area Management biologists Pat Shields and Robert Begich.
