Crews with the city of Kenai are ramping up for the projected opening of the annual Kenai River Personal use fishery. We spoke to Lt. Dave Ross with the Kenai Police Department who said that KPD officers are trying to make sure that this year’s fishery is a smooth running operation.

If all goes according to the plan, the dipnet fishery will open on July 10^th.
