Tomorrow is the first day of school for students across the Kenai Peninsula. Dr. Steve Atwater, Superintendent of the local district, told us that the district is focusing on transportation safety for this school year..

Atwaterand local law enforcement agencies are also reminding drivers to be alert to the extra pedestrian traffic in the mornings as students are heading back to class.
