Earlier this year, the Kenai City Council enacted an ordinance that would provide property tax credits for those who install residential sprinkler systems in their homes. Now, that plan is gaining national attention, according to Kenai City Councilmember Terry Bookey.

Bookey is a Captain with Central Emergency Services. He said that the city’s plan was well-received by his fellow firefighters.
