The Kenai Watershed Forum hosted the annual Kenai River Festival in the City of Soldotna this past weekend. We spoke to Lisa Beranek with the watershed forum who organized this years festival, who told us that this year’s river festival was unlike many in the past.
Beranek: “We were luck to have amazing weather, and a variety of folks in attendance. Actually record breaking attendance at the Kenai River Festival this last weekend. A number of folks came out, over 10,000 came out over the course of the weekend to celebrate the Kenai River, learn about its protection, and really engage in the community.”
Beranek also told us that many attendees commented to the forum applauding this year’s musical performers.
