Kenai P&Z Commission Still Taking Public Comment on Comp Plan

The City of Kenai is continuing to work on developing a new comprehensive plan, the planning document to act as a guide for development of the city in the future years. Some residents have voiced concerns over parts of the plan, and Jeff Twait, chairman of the Kenai Planning and Zoning Commission said that public input is still welcome…

Twait: “There still is time for public comment on the comp plan, and thing of that nature, and [we] hope that we can get people to come out and voice their opinions on some of that. How that’s going to will shake down, I really don’t know, I think we’ll come to some sort of compromise that everybody will live with.”

Residents have voiced concerns over the placement of commercial development zones adjacent to the Supr Highway and residential neighborhoods.
