Kenai Peninsula Kid Attended Kids State Dinner Yesterday at White House

The White House hosted the 2nd Annual Kids State Dinner yesterday, honoring 54 kids ages 8 to 12 from across the United States who created their own Healthy Lunchtime Recipes, including 9-year-old Rowan Bean of Seward, who was recognized for her “Alaskan Ceviche with Mango.”

President Obama:Eating healthy, living healthy, you are setting up habits that are going to be great for your entire life and you’re setting a great example for your classmates and I suspect you’re setting a good example for your parents.”
