Kenai Moving Ahead with New Comp Plan

The Kenai City Council, last week, introduced the draft comprehensive plan for the city. We spoke to Kenai Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Jeff Twait about the new planning document…

Twait: “Well I think you’re going to see some ideas that maybe will come to  revitalize some of the existing ideas to revitalize the city center to maybe give some tax incentives or things of that nature to maybe incentivize doing something with these existing buildings. The market determines how it kind of goes a little bit, we’ll guide ‘em as best as we can, but it will be a market driven thing, I’m sure.”

The City Council will hold their first public hearing on the plan, this coming Wednesday.
