Third time was the charm for a Kenai man arrested on felony DUI charges.
32-year-old Christopher Manis has two prior DUI convictions, but that didn’t stop him driving over the legal blood alcohol limit last night along K-Beach Road. State Troopers say they stopped Manis around 9:45pm in Soldotna. After he failed a field sobriety test, he was taken to the Soldotna trooper post, where his breath sample recorded .213 BAC. The legal limit is .08.
Troopers say Manis was driving on a revoked license and was required to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed in his vehicle. Given his two prior convictions, Manis was arrested and charged with felony DUI, DWLR, and Driving in Violation of a Limited License. He was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial without bail.
