Kenai Madam Won’t Serve Extra Time

A Kenai Madam won’t serve any additional time in jail, despite receiving prison sentence of three years.

50-year-old Karen Carpenter was arrested on January 10th of this year for a suspected prostitution ring operating out of Gifted Hands Massage near the intersection of Attla Way and Willow St in Kenai. Two years of her sentence were suspended, and she received credit for time already served.

The Kenai PD was tipped off to the actions of the massage parlor after an online advertisement looking for an “erotic massage therapist” was placed by Carpenter.

After a month of investigation and undercover work, they arrested Carpenter on January 10 for the charges of Felony Sex Trafficking in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree, and a misdemeanor charge of prostitution.
