Kenai Float Plane Basin Expansion Progressing

The City of Kenai continues to make progress on the improvements at Kenai Municipal Airport’s Float Plane Basin facility. The latest work includes a Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the project. Kenai City Manager Rick Koch updated us.

He said, in the case of this float plane basin, lease lots and the construction of specific taxiways are being studied. He said this has been part of the airport master plan for years. He said the public comment period on this assessment has been extended.
