Kenai Continues to Assist with Bacterial Studies at River Mouth

The Kenai City Council, last night, held a public hearing on an ordinance to appropriate a $80,695 grant to continue the studies of bacterial levels following the Kenai River Personal Use Dipnet Fishery.

Koch: “It’s a pass though grant that we receive from the Department of Environmental Conservation that goes to the Kenai Watershed Forum for testing of water near the mouth of the river to determine enterococci and coliform bacteria levels.”


The council approved this unanimously.
